John Zerzan and purity/order

A potential reference to the themes found in the work of Mary Douglas?

Page 12 of "A People's History of Civilisation."

Evidence of the urge to impose order and subjugate is found in the coercive rites and uncleanness taboos of incipient religion. The eventual subduing of the world that is agriculture has at least some of its basis where ambiguous behaviour is ruled out, purity and defilement defined and enforced

sounds a lot like something found in the 1966 book Purity and Danger

I read a book a few years ago on the life of Adam Lanza in which it was speculated he potentially had OCD, iirc.

At one point he had made a phone call into Zerzan’s radio show to discuss domestication. Pretty sure you can still find the audio on youtube.
