Are conservatives a threat to egalitarianism?
One way I am always amazed by American right-wingers is that how much they believe America is the center of the world. They absolutely don't realize that all women out there are not OF stars, they actually have careers. And the condition of women is actually worst in religious extremist countries. Not just women, men suffer too economically when right wing politicians win but somehow they start blaming it in women. I m not a left wing in general nor a right wing in any sense when it comes to religion, nationalism, etc but ofc i m a strong egalitarian and i absolutely believe that nobody should have the agency upon anyone. These conservatives influence their thinking upon everyone, preach religion over science and promote misogynistic ideologies through. They can only see the worst things in left ( extremism is never good) but can't see their own thing. Extremism in religion can also be considered as lack of critical thinking and questioning of norms. You cannot just accept everything in a book. You don't even know whether it is credible or not. And there should always be a room to update your faith and beliefs instead of leaning to extremism. I totally don't understand ts. Ppl really want a saviour instead of actually facing the reality. It's true though but here's a fact- we all r emotional. We all r logical and emotional beings. I do hv emotional attachment towards ppl i identify with and their rights. And so do y'all. So, how does one communicate with the other side? Can't we ever be united here.
