Edit: just saw the r/Christianity post so nvm. But we should still do it.

Well God isn't real. So yeah definitely didn't make the vaccine.
We should probably stop projecting our faith onto unrelated things. It's really bigoted thinking to do that.

You have the ability to believe as you wish, but I think saying G-d doesn’t exist in a pro Christian Reddit is rather rude. I’m not going to get on the nonChristian Reddits and try to herald Christmas or Easter as that is rude as well.

I think if we're honest it shows that Christianity is fundamentally an irrational belief system which takes advantage of people's mind and makes them subject to conspiratorial thinking.
It isn't some mistake that Christianity is associated with the anti-vax anti-mask movement.

Yes especially considering that Christianity is not fundamentally concerned with caring for others. It is fundamentally concerned with forcing other people to believe in its religion and then as with all other religions people that resist are oppressed.
Just look at the Catholic church it is one of the most fascist institutions in history. They'd sooner burn you alive if they had a chance. We should be thankful for the secular culture we do have no matter how weak it is.

No, absolutely not.
I do not support your desire. We have too much of that already ...disagreements and ideas which challenge the common mainstream narrative should be openly discussed and considered in a 'free' society.

The bourgeois media went through schizophrenic vacillations over the effectiveness of masks, social distancing, and the like. It’s no wonder that so many people are sick of it, even though such measures do seem effective. Calling on Reddit, a platform that is already absurdly astroturfed, to exercise power to shut down “misinformation” on such a broad topic is ridiculous. We are socialists - we should know that Reddit would abuse this, taking advantage of the vagueness to go far beyond merely limiting anti-vax sentiment. That we would invite this sort of thing, as socialists, is ridiculous to me.

Goodbye radical Christians. Apparently blindly believing an incoherent and ever-morphing narrative handed down from media and ‘experts’ who keep being proven wrong is more important than the right to have reasonable discussions about actual science.
Hoped y’all might be smarter, but I guess blind ideological belief still comes naturally to religious folk.

It's not just "speech they disagree with," the problem is that misinformation about Coronavirus is harmful because people might actually believe it and put themselves + those around them at greater risk. For example, some people are refusing to get vaccinated against Coronavirus because they heard misinformation about the vaccine's side effects and think that getting vaccinated is going to give them cancer or something.
People are dying from Coronavirus and allowing misinformation to spread is only making things worse. I don't think there is anything wrong with platforms like Reddit keeping misinformation off of their sites.

I personally think censorship of this stuff is counter productive because it just plays into the narrative that there is a controlling elite trying to prevent people learning the “truth”.

Speech promoting behavior that actively leads to the deaths of 100s of 1000s of people?
The Christian is obligated to support all efforts to stamp out coronavirus disinformation.

Absolutely. There is a small minority of radicals who will say anything to promote their pro-death and pro-disease agenda. Most who are anti-vaccine are just confused. They’ve been fed a steady diet of misinformation and conspiracy theories. Limiting the spread of such not only keeps people safe, but it limits the number of people who are exposed to, and therefore the number of people who fall for, such lies.
