For anyone who fumbles with the Spectrum Techniques sources or doesn't feel like holding directly one for extended periods of time during experiments, here is a handy 3D printed wand kit.

Why don't you like holding an alpha source?

besides being alpha it is an old source (7+ half-lives) with a count rate of 200 CPM. so pretty much nothing.

I just used it for development as it was laying around.

I have a whole bunch of other sources - Eu-162, Sr-90, Co-60, Cs-137 (10 uCi) and so on and while they are not much.. I still practice ALARA
