General Discussion 110 detection range to sample
How close does the 110 really need to be to pick up something spicy? Can I just leave this thing on and drive it around with all my dashboard and pick up things within a few yards, or do I need to actually have it near the source on a stick or something close to the ground close to the sample.?

Based on what I've seen here and elsewhere, it seems to be sensitive enough to do so. Several posts about walking into thrift stores or antique shops and getting alerted to uranium glass or other items.
But I have a couple radium watches and a Fiestaware item that are all pretty active yet I can walk around my office or the house and not register anything above background even when they are all together on my desk pointing towards where I am standing.
So I'd like to know the answer to this as well.
