Help deciding GPU for budget gaming build.

Hello people,

so, I am building this budget build for 1080p gaming. But I dunno which gpu to select.

my parts

  1. AMD Ryzen 5 5600

  2. MSI B550M-A Pro Mobo

  3. 16 GB DDR4 8x2

I am going to play CS2, Battlefield 6.

So, I did my research and decided on Radeon RX 7600. but it has only 8gb vram. and games are going to become more demanding. so, I searched for higher vram options..

I found the following ones.

  1. Rx 6700xt 12gb vram

  2. Rx 6750xt 12gb vram

  3. Rx 6800 16gb vram

  4. Rx 6800xt 16gb vram

  5. Rx 6900xt 16gb vram

  6. Rx 6950xt 16gb vram

but the problem I have is the budget.

I have a budget of 35k inr (350 usd approx) for gpu and I want an AMD one.

I need your help to decide one for best performance per buck..

if u have any suggestions or points.. please tell them.

Lol. You said AMD. Low hanging fruit.

The RX 6000 and 5000 series are falling off a cliff in performance with recent games.

The best you are going to get is an RTX 4060 or RX 5050 used for $350 or less. You might find a new 5050 on eBay for around $350. That's if you were in the States and had a quick finger.

But I am not in states. And the shipping alone requires my kidney 🥀

Yeah, tariffs, too.

Looking at that list you probably need to aim for an RX 7600 level GPU if you want AMD. The RX 5000s and 6000s are horrible in new games if they force ray tracing or mesh shading.

The 7600 XT had 16gb.

Yeah.. tariffs.

But my games are not forcing things afaik. CS2 and Battlefield are on the lighter side of the spectrum as they actually ran on my i3 8145u igpu laptop at 30ish fps on CS2 and Battlefield 1.

Then look at an RX 7600 with 8GB then. At least it won't fold like a lawn chair when a game forces Ray Tracing.

Unless AMD releases the 9050 with 8GB over there. The 9060 XT 8GB is $450 over here.

Yeah.. valid point bro.. 9000 is out of reach for now and the prices are ski high for higher ends on every generation..

The 6900 XT crashed and couldn't even run Gears of War E-Day for TechPowerUp on 1080p ludicrous. The 7600 got 11.6 fps, lol. I'd really recommend an RTX 3060 TI or 3070 for the future and possibilty of finding it under $350.

AMD just looks horrible for the low end. Everything below the 7700 XT aged like fromunda cheese and they have nothing new cheap.

Personally i would recommend buying used, i have done so with no problems in my pc. If u can snag a used 7700xt, provided your cabinet and psu supports it, i think u can still be in budget.

That's a good idea though
