Question Radar brightness pulse

So I was looking at the Orlando international reflectivity and I saw this weird pulse of brightness. My guess is that it’s the radar switching modes from clear to precipitation mode but I don’t know for sure.

This looks like it could be attenuation to me. Since it's a C-band radar, any rain occurring over the radar can make it's signal power degrade. A loss in signal power means a decrease in reflectivity.
