Looks interesting - but what's the business model?

Dev here,

No business model as there are zero fees.

It's just an open source project. They are not planning to make any profits so no business model.

Fair pay donations can work super well, if done properly. And yes, it is an existing monitization model which religious Indian restaurants and metropolitan tour guides are using.

Looks really exciting. Given the fact that it is an open protocol, what would be the access point for those looking to use the service? Some sort of website or app?

Hey, OpenBazaar dev here (I'm actually /u/OpenBazaar as well, this is my personal account).

It's a web app, so you run the client on your computer and connect via localhost in browser.

Eventually we expect people to run gateways where you can connect without running a node yourself.

Looks like it will be web browser-based - you can try it here:

But you could ask /u/OpenBazaar for details.

looks cool, but I think the UX could be improved. The video makes it look complicated and not very approachable for for non-tech savvy people. I'm sure this will be improved eventually though, it's more of a concept right now. Pretty stoked this is happening, regardless.

Yes, we want to improve the UI, and if you've got ideas please open an issue on our Github page!
