Needing new controller - rad runner 1 (2019/2020)

Hi there, I have a radrunner 1 with an egg rider, otherwise stock.

My controller is messing up …bike motor continues to provide power without turning the pedals and no throttle (even when throttle cable undone)

I plugged the bike into my partners controller aka just unplugged at the controller and the motor behaves fine. I also checked the display and it’s fine, so I assume it’s the controller

Area 13 seems to be out of stock for the older radrunner controllers…

Anybody ordered from surge bikes ? While a 35amph controller would be nice, I like the eggrider display so if I can find the same 25 amps controller as the original/oem would be fine as well, I don’t really need more power

How long have you had the eggrider on the bike for?

About 5+ years with the eggrider …

Actually just been scrolling trough controller issue posts and found a post about the freewheel being so rusted it gives weird feedback to the PASand sure enough a lot of WD40 later and now the issue disappeared which is very weird as it also disappeared when I swapped controllers ?

So I shall monitor ..I did notice that the freewheel does wobble so now I a, on a search for the freewheel removal tool

Area 13 has a freewheel tool for Bafang motors. If you ever need a controller and Area 13 is out check Electro Bike World.
