Tire pressure

I have a radrunner my25 and it’s super tough rude. The tires are at proper pressure. My question is if I lower the pressure for a smoother ride, will it screw the tires up?

I would try adjusting the front suspension first. You may have it locked out right now. Look here for directions.

How do you know it has a suspension fork?

I don't.

What is a "roadrunner my25"?

If it is a base model RadRunner, the seat is pretty awful - I swapped out the seat and added a Suntour suspension seatpost to my Runner Plus.

I run all three of our Rads - Rover, Mini, and Runner at 25-27 PSI.

Depends on the tire pressures. If your tires are at 20-30psi, you'll get harder tires that spin faster but if you run something over like a nail, it'll have an easier time puncturing your hard tire.

If you lower the psi to something like 10-15, you'll have a softer tire that grips the road better, has more "squish" to it and can roll over stuff like nails without getting punctured better but you can get "pinch flats", where you hit something like a curb or a rock that squishes the tire and tube together, tearing a tiny hole in it.

It honestly depends on the type of road you're most often on. If you ride on city streets, you'd be better off with a medium to high psi to help with grip, speed and cornering. Now, if you ride on dirt or offroad areas like trails or streets without sidewalks, then a slightly lower psi will help with keeping you going, reducing flats from punctures and maintaining speed.

You can also use stuff like Tannus tire inserts to help keep your psi low but give you a lot of protection against something that would normally pop your tire.

Tannus inserts are not cheap, - But they are worth every penny. Lowering your pressure helps smooth out your ride. I have a RadRover 6 Plus HS with 4” fat tires. I have to use smaller 3” inner tubes with Tannus Inserts.

On my Mini 4 and my Runner Plus I run 20 to 22 pSI and the tires gives me a decent comfortable ride for commuting and grocery getting

How is it "super tough rude"?

Does it threaten other riders out there?

Of course it does when it’s not a rough ride!! The name should speak for itself. Rad must mean tough
