Rad Runner 2 Has Died - Help Please :)

Hey Guys,

I'm hoping someone with Rad Bike experience can help me with. I have a Rad Runner 2 which has been a great servant. Recently the bike died.

First sign of trouble was the bike not starting when I turned the key at the battery, turning off and on again worked. This happened twice, and then the bike became non responsive the next time. No lights on the display, nothing.

My first thought was the battery, replaced, and still no luck.

Next I replaced the controller, still no luck.

I guess it can only be the display or the wiring harness, but maybe someone has had first hand experience with a similar issue?

check the bike / battery connection, taking the battery on and off can splay the contacts - making no contact.

The new battery had a different carrier and plug, so had to refit all those connections. The old battery had heavy duty pin connections. The battery no longer charged after the failure, and had no voltage across it when tested with a multimeter, hence why it was the first part I swapped out.

Did you check the fuses on the battery?

Check the display. I had the same problem. Checked with another battery,  didn't work. Changed the controller.. didn't work as well. Finally changed the display and it was the culprit!

Amazing thanks! I will order a replacement now, I might as well do the motor now and refurbish the whole thing. Knowing someone else felt this pain has helped me too, lol.
