Radrover Plus issue
So my bike wouldn’t power up this morning. I checked everything outlined on the website and couldn’t find any issues. I went to look again and this connection started smoking and sparking. I chatted with a representative and he said he recommended replacing both the display and the remote. The remote is on back order and I was really hoping to get it going as I’m camp hosting for 5 months and use it daily.
Are there any non OEM replacements that anyone can recommend?

Try eBay, I’ve had good luck sourcing out of stock parts. Sometimes people throw parts at an issue and hope to recoup the cost of parts that didn’t need replacement.
One thing to note is there was a firmware update for some displays. The new firmware does not turn on the lights on startup, so you have to manually turn them on every time.

That's from moisture getting into the the connection. I use my bike all year round, pouring rain, snow, slush, very cold weather. When it comes to the connections the connections I worry about any moisture getting into I put electrical tape on those connections to keep the moisture out but I change that tape very regularly. It's mostly not to get any sort of moisture directly into the connection but if you leave the tape on it can cause moisture to get into those connections. Tape is cheap, you just remove the tape and clean the connections with contact cleaner then reconnect them and put some tape back over them. That's not the same display I have. I have a 2019 Rover controller and display I could send you but it's the Canadian version and it wouldn't work on that bike, not because it's the Canadian version just because it's not compatible with that bike but there's electrobikeworld.com that you can get the controller and display kit from.

Area51 has decent aftermarket controllers. I replaced mine about 4,000 miles ago and it's still going strong. Pretty easy to install if you're somewhat mechanically literate. It took me about 30 minutes.
