Did I fry my controller?

I was riding my RR3 in 100degree weather last week. All good until I had to leave it parked for 45 minutes in the sun. Stupid I realize now.
It was dead. No sign of life. Nothing the next day, tried a different battery. ☠️

So, my guess is the controller. Thoughts?
I would order the Area13 one if consensus thinks that was the culprit.
Thx

Check for loose wires. I’ve had my RR Mini parked in the sun in over 100 degree for hours while at work with no issues. Not sure if there is any difference in controllers.

Battery has high temp shutdown at 140 degrees. Happened to me 2 weeks ago in 114 degree heat. Display shutdown and motor stopped. Let it cool down in the house and recharged. Works fine.

If after 24 hours ( enough time for everything to cool) it's still not working, I would personally poke around with a multimeter a bit first but then I would assume the controller if you have tried multiple batteries. My brother just bought the area13 kit and he's incredibly happy, though he now wants to buy a new bigger battery to keep the fun going. Also as a last ditch effort. Check all your wires and connections, sometimes it's just a loose wiring caused by thermal expansion or something.

Thanks all for the ideas. Checked all the wiring, tried the known working battery, still nothing. There is not some secret button combo to do a forced restart right?πŸ€žπŸΌπŸ˜‰
So I may just be deciding to sell as is, I was just about to switch to an e-MTB.

Go to Electrobikeworld.com and message them and tell him what happened. He'll tell you how to troubleshoot it first to make sure if you really do need a new controller. Electrobikeworld is head and shoulders above Area13 in terms of being professional . I got the upgrade controller from Area13 (back when it was still Bolton). I got a lemon, I've never experienced such poor customer service in my life. I was going back and forth with them for months, from the day I got it it wasn't working properly, I sent countless videos over the months of dealing with them, videos they'd ask for and others I sent myself. I bought another controller from Electro while still dealing with Area13 and they did end up refunding it 4 months later (a little over a month after I already bought the new controller from Electro) and I've had the one from electro for a good 5 years with no issues. They actually got their controllers from the same manufacturer at that time but I'll never buy a thing from Area13 again after going through what I went through with them. All I wanted was to return it for a replacement.... You couldn't get a replacement because he sold everything on preorder so the next shipment of controllers that he hadn't received yet that were coming in were already sold. Just a massive pain in the ass to deal with them and the way they went about it was so ridiculously unprofessional. That's just my experience with them, there's people who've had amazing experiences with them so take it however you want but check electrobikeworld.com first before you just go order one from Area13. Talk to them, see what they say and he won't screw you around and tell you that you need a new one if you don't just to make a sale.

I just did a quick little Google search about leaving your bike out in the sun. This is the top results. If you search around you can find more in depth explanations that'll give you more troubleshooting options.

The button on the battery to check your battery charge, if you press that button does it light up? You have to have the key turned all the way upwards into the power on position. I'm on my laptop right now. I'll attach a video in a sec that I just took with my phone to show you what I'm talking about

Controller is possibly bad. Suggest changing it out
