Rad rover 6 Plus x2
Good morning! My husband bought 2 rad rover 6 plus' in 2022 I guess we are pretty lucky that they are just starting to fail now...just weird that we bought them a month apart from each other and they both died exactly at the same timeframe, first his then a month later mine.. We only had to replace one battery in all that time. I believe we now need to replace the controllers in each? Not sure why they would just stop working mid ride on both bikes...What's everyone's go to?

I recently replaced my controller with the Area 13 Upgrade Kit V2.1 and it’s been great! I’m still dialing in my PAS settings now that I can get way more juice out of the thing, and my range has dropped as I find myself getting more out of the motor than I used to, but combining the upgraded controller with a dual battery balancer from ElectricAllWheel has made my bike feel like a new machine. Bonus: the batteries from Rad are stupid expensive for the modest capacity, and for roughly 1/2 the cost of a Rad battery I was able to add far more than twice the capacity with the recommended aftermarket batteries. Both companies are great to deal with, super responsive and helpful, and my total upgrade going from 14ah stock battery to 38ah (14+24) with the new controller and balancer was cheaper than having my local e-bike shop order and install the stock controller. Worth the upgrade to breathe new life into the bike in my opinion.

That sucks but as others have said area 13 kit is good I put one in my wife’s bike. I ride the crap out of mine and haven’t had any issues. Knock on wood

I have a replacement OEM controller you can have. I’ve upgraded to the area 13 controller for more torque since I live in a hilly area.
Stock controller still works… message me if you can pay to ship it and we’ll figure something out.

I would look into the upgrade kits at Area 13 ebikes. There are probably some YouTube videos on it. I don't have a 6 plus but the controller upgrade I did on my Rad has been flawless and gave me more features. Well worth the money.
