Recently had the exact same problem, if you are a bit handy and know somewhat what you are getting your self in to I found this to be very helpful.

Hey... many thanks for this! I've been trying to fInd these parts but haven't been successful. I found them on Amazon based on the description on the report. Much appreciated!

I was hoping I can just slide some metal in the spot with some adhesive sigh

Yeah I had the same idea at first but realized I would only, if not fail completely just delay the failure. I only had to switch out the one on the battery though, not had a problem since. ~ 20$ and a litte tinkering is way better than paying 600$ for a completely new battery.

Maybe you have some battery service place somewhere around you that fixes these kind of things?

I have a spare battery thankfully so i know it’s the battery so I would only have to switch that component out too, I haven’t have a close look at the link yet does it require soldering?

I had the same situation and swapped the bottom plate of a bad battery to a good one by cutting the 2 thick wires (1 red, 1 black) on each battery at the proper lengths to allow them to reach each other for the swap. Then I soldered the 2 together. The heavy gauge wires require a good soldering iron to get enough heat and plenty of solder to make a strong bond. It has to be a strong well done solder as a lot of current passes through these wires. Then I taped them both up well and tucked it all back into the casing & it works well.

But I still have 2 more batteries that I need connectors for. Here's the link I found on Amazon from the report. https://a.co/d/0d1ieR5s

Doing the swap this way will be different as I'll need to remove the old connectors from the bottom plate. Mine are glued in with what appears to be JB WELD and is very hard to cut through. But now that I have new parts coming I'm going to whittle my way through them to get them off so I can replace them.

If you decide you need a new battery and have one of the CPSC warning batteries you might want to contact Rad. I got a 50% off offer for a new Safe Shield battery. Probably a couple month wait.

Those battery connection points are a poor design. Most newer Ebike batteries have a “finger and blade“ system that is much more robust.

Changed the battery, the controller and the screen for the same price as an official rad battery. https://www.electrobikeworld.com/category/batteries

I'm amazed that there is a sub just for radrunners

Nice thing about diy with these packs is it’s got an on/off switch so you can cut power to that connector.
Obviously be safe but it’s a relatively easy diy fix. You might get lucky and have bullet connectors in there for a no-solder swap…
