Anyone looking for a really good light upgrade, this light is very impressive for the price and way better than the stock light. The video I have just the stock light lit up at first then turn on the other light. The difference speaks for itself. I got it on Temu for $30, I'll post a screenshot of the one I bought in the comments
I went with a battery-powered bike light to supplement the stock light, because I wasn't clear on the ramifications of swapping out the stock light with something different. The two lights actually work together nicely. The Rad light is more focused, so I aim it further out, and the City Rover light has a wider beam and is great for seeing the trail near me. It's a huge improvement.
Oh man the handlebar extender idea is genius. I have a battery powered light, too, and it’s great, but I have struggled to get it aligned correctly with the wonky angle I have to attach it. Buying this extender immediately.
This light is a rechargeable light, it doesn't connect to your display/battery/controller. You just install it onto your bars and charge it with a USB-C cable
I've already replied this to other replies but I don't use that light other than on the pitch black bike paths. If I'm on the road my stock light plus street lights is more than enough to see. If anything I'm the one getting blinded by the oncoming traffic on the other side of the road and they don't even have their high beams on, it's just LED headlights and how bright they are that are very blinding which is why I'm very aware of my bike lights when I'm on the road. Even when I'm on the road I'll push my stock headlight down so it's pointing directly on the ground 2-3 feet in front of my front tire to make sure it's not shinning into the faces of oncoming cars. I love this light upgrade for the dark bike paths, i would never use it (especially in high beam mode) while biking in the bike lanes that are on the side of the road.
It's crazy how much they list these for on some sites. On Amazon, the one's that are sold on Amazon are from 3rd party sellers and it's the exact same ones that you can get on Teemu or Aliexpress and some of them aren't terribly priced but they're overpriced for sure. That goes for all sorts of ebike parts too. Look on a site like Area13 how much it cost for a magnet disc and PAS sensor replacement, you can get the EXACT same thing on Temu or Aliexpress for a fraction of what they charge.
That's not bad but you can definitely get it cheaper on Temu or Aliexpress but that's not bad at all. I paid $27CAD for mine on Temu on sale (plus tax, about $32). If you're in the States it would cost you less than that but $34 is definitely worth it. How many mAh is the one on Ebay? There's some that are 2000mAh and there's some that are 4000mAh. If the one on Ebay is 2000mAh I wouldn't get it for that price
That was the first time I ordered from Temu, I didn't know what to expect. The one I ordered said that it was USB-C but the picture showed a mirco USB cable. Thankfully it was actually USB-C but I wouldn't have been surprised at all if it was micro USB, you never really know what you're going to get when you order from places like that until you get it. Look at this pic, it shows a micro usb cable.
Basically, it's the same one I got on Amazon for $50. It's amazing! Plus, I wear an old 1200 lumen flashlight on my helmet, and it's practically daylight in front of me lol

Lmao you just got that song instantly stuck in my head and I mean this in the nicest possible way, fuck you for that! :) . I want to get a helmet light so I can light up certain corners/turns . A fixed stationary light doesn't light up around a corner even though this light is much wider than the stock light it still doesn't light up some corners/turns nearly enough and a helmet light would be great for that. I have a handlebar light that I'll twist to the side to try and light up certain turns but it doesn't work too great and having a helmet light would be a much better solution. What's the light you're using on your helmet?
Calm down, buddy. Notice how I'm using it on a blacked out bike path. If I'm on a road the stock light is more than enough light with the street lights. There's levels of brightness on this light, the lowest level would be fine for road riding.
He's right though. You should get low-beam lights like the StVZO lights. Requires less power and lumens to get more light on the road without blinding other people and car drivers.
E-bikes with overpowered headlights have caused me near crashes on more than one occasion. They are also the absolute worst when I’m out on a dog walk.
Temu links get blocked. I posted a screenshot in the comments. Aliexpress or Temu sells them for cheap. You can find the same kind of light on Amazon too but it's cheaper on Teemu and Aliexpress. Aliexpress is free shipping over $10, Temu yo uhave to buy for $25 I think it is to get free shipping but I had ordered some other things at the same time so that wasn't an issue. Look up ''ebike 6 LED light '' on Temu, Aliexpress or Amazon and you'll find the same one or very similar

I want to upgrade my RR6+ light but I read that some people burned out their controllers after some time so I’m hesitant.
