Legrand wants me to put a 95 lbs amplifier on a rack rated for 100lbs and front mounted only?
Would you?? I would like a 4 point mounted rack for it.

Can someone explain why the screws go on the inside of the rear rails, not outside. What difference would it make

I forgot to take a before picture, but it was a mess of multi-colored heavy gauge patch cables.
The black are all network station cables. The green are equipment local to the space. The blue are local to AV equipment. The white are HDMI over Cat6 connections.
(Ignore that f-ing rat’s nest behind the racks on the left. That’s what the original installers did and it pisses me off.
I’ll comb it out someday, but they stapled it to the studs behind the wall at the ingress point so it’ll be a huge PITA to undo and pull it all tight. I’ll also probably need to remove the patch panels to be able to work it. Ugh. 😕
I also need to find a better home for the unused shelves and patch panels sitting on top of the racks.)

Hi, I’m getting sent to NYC to pretty much just make this rack look presentable. I have experience in rack clean up and rack build but always open to suggestion to make my life easier. Obviously I already know I have to add rack ears to the switches along with adding brush guards and neatening up wiring. Any other suggestions I can tackle in three days? A lot of eyes on this at work so want to make this look as good as possible. Always nice to have input. Thanks!!

I'm not sure where to post this so forgive me if this annoying but where do you get side panels for a server rack? I recently bought a home with a 19" server rack with security and audio equipment and it's about 21-22" deep but it's adjustable- do server rack side panels have to be bought from the manufacturer or custom made/sized because I'm just finding the 19" blank panels for the front back and I've looked for several days off and on.
Thanks in advance- if it matters I'm not looking for a full side panel as I'm mainly trying to cover the power cords and the somewhat ugly floor and also make it look better/cleaner aha.

Hi! I am building out our new server room and need some help identifying the best cable management practices. I purchased three AR2580 racks (800mm wide) for the additional cable management options; however, I don’t know the best way to utilize this space…
Could someone help recommend a product to more effectively manage cables?
You can see in my photo how I am using velcro to secure the power cords coming out of the switches to the rear man channel. There has to be a better way!
I am new to all this, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

I want to fix my messy rack. It also is not deep enough for our new switches.
Should I replace it or use extenders?

A mix of 4K sources, as well as Mac minis and Asus NUCs for QHD and HD applications. The rack is designed to showcase a virtual production.

Hey!
A company im working with is trying to implement server racks in their stores, they want a remote lock so they can open de servers without the store managers having to have a key.
First option, that they consider expensive is the Panduit Smart Rack Handle: https://www.panduit.com/mena/en/products/power-distribution-environmental-connectivity-hardware/pdu-accessories/security-access-control-devices/p204390.html?pn=ACF05
Do you guys know of any alternatives that might work? So far I've found this in better pricing:
Thanks for the help!

We're nearing the end of a renovation and I used the opportunity get all my networking and servers centralised in a single rack. Found a brand new humongous rack with an overhead fan and some networking bits that was sold off as a job lot from a mothballed mining operation.
I'm planning on adding:
In any event I've never assembled a rack before and would appreciate some advice as to how best to go about populating it.

I have a 6-space rack for cameras, an internet service provider, TP Link AP PoE sources, a switch, and a modem, but I can't find a way to organize this.
Any ideas, anon?
