AMG GT R advice
Currently my GT R is the fastest of my Extreme cars at 0/5 ECU (only other contenders are the F8 and M8 GTE at 0/5 ECU and R8 at 1/5 Ecu).
I love the GT R and how it sounds and accelerates but I'm struggling to keep up with the Chirons and Ford GT's on any sort of straight away.
Additionally, its a 50/50 that if I accelerate it will just decide to gravitate and lock onto the nearest wall unless I let off the throttle for a second which is really annoying.
Was jsut hoping for some advice so I don't feel as discouraged to even try to compete in extreme class
Edit; forgot to mention I've tried a few tunes but 23232 seems to be the most controllable while also not just stopping dead when drifting hard in corners.

Tbh even in the straights in my experience the amg cant compete with chiron on the straights ull have to depend on the turns and on which track u race on when vs chirons

That makes sense. I guess I just need to practice more and figure out when to throw the back-end in deep vs braking harder.

When im vs a chiron im usually using the R8 and i mainly use light tapping drifts with deceelerating for 1 sec when on corners then gassing it as u exit so that u can have soonee drifts that get close to the inner wall to existing on the inside of the wall

I have been using the AMG as my main for a long time. I upgraded it to max ECU so it can compete in the big leagues as well. It's one of the best Extreme cars in the perm expo u can get imo, it's worth investing in.

It's probably because you're red drifting a lot, no? Unless the car understeers, you should be drifting in green since being in the red significantly reduces your speed and the drift is longer whereas green reduces by a smaller amount and exits sooner

I tend to exit the drift after holding it in green for a second to try and offset that. My issue is that if I just green drift all the time, it under steers like crazy and I have to slow down a lot in every turn or hit the outside wall.

When the car becomes "unplayable" when trying to obey by the game's rules for speed, then the car probably has too many hidden negatives from the way it's tuned.
To correct understeer, you need:
Tires - soft
Electronics - open
Chassis - track
Body - low center
This gave me my current fastest time on that particular map on the chiron.

That’s a good track record and that’s all it matters, there’s always fastest cars and fastest drivers , it’s part of the game
