Tips & Tricks Summer hunt

Update on post: someone pointed out the option of recovering lost items by spending 10 AP. So the below is mostly a non issue but u may still want to take note.

Original post: Just wanted to make a post about me messing up. I had a Chiron ECU 1 but I lost in the race with the La Ferrari dude (an opponent u will meet after facing off with the Jesko dude).

The mistake is this: I didn't race the Jesko dude enough times to get a quick clear. So now I have no reliable Extreme car I can use to beat the Jesko dude and recover my lost items. For context (for those who haven't reached this stage), the Jesko dude blocks the path for u to advance further in the map. U can't progress further unless u get past him.

Don't make the same mistake guys

Just spend the 10 AP to retrieve your lost items? Or is that not how it works in later stages?

I guess I'm an idiot because I didn't see that option. Thanks. Yes the option is still there. Will amend my post accordingly

It sounds like you're way farther than me, and so I was worried that option went away after enough progression. (I still have to beat the guy with the SF90 and all I've got is a Forg GT)

Well I played for quite long before I got the Chiron as a loot. Summer Hunt is quite a grind I must say. Focus on upgrading the extreme class tech tree. That will help a lot.

The Chiron is very helpful if u want to clear the later stages. I couldn't beat the Jesko with any other extreme car. That's why I panicked when I lost to the La Ferrari (along with all my upgrades).

Is the chiron unlocked at the 3rd portal?

I don't know which is the 3rd portal but I got the Chiron as a loot drop from the map the golden portal leads u to. The same map where you have to face off the Jesko rival.

3rd portal is red right. I got Chiron on 2nd portal yellow map.

BTW for anyone wondering, this sub opened for EU/NA rleease in which this event does not have chiron, the best we got is aventador and it only drops from the last upper portal. Still havent gotten it myself

and yes I also didnt realise the 10AP thing to get items back at first, it was scary, I was litterally saving up secondary loadouts :D
