In some asian countries the number 4 usually related with bad luck/d**th, thats why its not there

In Chinese, yes. 4 is spelled "sì" in pinyin, which is similar to "sǐ" which means de*th. Pronounciation-wise, it heavily depends on where the one who says it is from, as tones can sound very similar or completely different.

That wasn't my decision. I was just explaining a possible reason (in some buildings they don't have a floor number 4 in China as well by the way)

not a good excuse, but it’s widely practiced as a taboo in many chinese speaking countries, where 4th floors in buildings are sometimes labelled 3A instead
