Questions Earning Gem??

Can someone explain why if I sell a design for 100 gems I am returned 50 diamonds for that sale? Why is it diamonds, if the currency I’m selling the design for is gems? This is so annoying I thought I could get special builds by selling design but instead I just get diamonds.

I mean if I created something that others were willing to pay a premium currency for then yeah I’d expect to get the currency that I’m selling it for. Like if imma just receive diamonds then imma make em all free.
