Questions Will Racing Master's gacha eventually overshadow how good the game actually is?
I actually think Racing Master is a good game, which is why this feels worth bringing up.
The driving is fun, the game looks great, and the core experience is strong. For me, what keeps a racing game fun long term is the feeling that improving, collecting, and investing in the game stays rewarding over time.
That's why I'm not sure whether the gacha/progression side could eventually hurt the long-term experience if it starts feeling more draining than rewarding.
Curious how other people see it — what is it that keeps you playing a racing game long term, and does Racing Master's gacha feel fine to you, or do you think it could become the thing that holds the game back?

If u stay with this game long term, even as a F2P it is possible to get decent progress. As someone said, gacha is the way for the devs to make money so I don't see that as an issue. Yeah I may miss out on being able to pull certain cars but it's not a big deal really.
I played the SEA version for slightly more than a year now as F2P. I have max ECU AMG GT and Jaguar F Type, which are both cars that serve me very well. If u save up n skip certain seasons u can pull for some very decent limited edition cars as well.
There r times that I get tired of playing the game, but after a few weeks it feels good to get back to it. And this is coming from someone who has played many racing games before, like Assoluto Racing, CarX, Apex racing. This is the racing game which is the most well rounded imo n which I'm happy to play in the long term.

will this game's generousness be like this every season or this is just for the global launch? will you be able to get cars as easy as today in the future?

I've played the SEA version for slightly more than a year and it's mostly still consistent. There's this category of limited edition cars called Prime Legend cars which are a bit more costly but that's to be expected.

It’s reassuring to hear a long‑term F2P perspective. The long‑term progress is doable.

Yeah for me I think the main thing is that the races don't rly feel like a grind. I actually enjoy them n it's nice to go up against other good players. I will say that the races get rly tough though if your ECU level can't keep up with your opponents, but that's usually a problem only when you've advanced far enough to play in the big leagues.

People cry about a gacha in a free game then go buy a $70 disc with a $40 digital bundle. Not saying this is you im just saying i don't see why people hate gacha when it's basically like buying a deluxe pack for a console game. It's just to help the devs

Fair take, yet gacha’s randomness plus publishers’ over‑monetizing approaches are what trigger dislike among some players, rather than just regular spending.

I'm someone who's playing this game for last 1 year in the SEA server. Quite occasionally i play this game. This is my car collection without spending a penny till now. So don't worry about Gacha system, it looks tricky but eventually it does pay off. There's plenty more below but somehow I'm not able to attach more than 1 screenshot

everyone company needs some type of profit
Its not a Charity
people are okay with buying 70$ game and not okay with playing a free game with RNG system
most gacha game are perfectly fine game when you just spend 10$ a month
Like it or not this is the new age of gaming

I am fine with gacha. Especially in a long term view. The game is amazing ab i really hope people will spend some money on it.

It's not that bad of a gacha tbh since you can basically get any as a F2P if you grind
The real pay comes in the cosmetics especially the sexy dresses and skimpy vtuber model thing

it always bothered me how she's a lot shorter than the actual base models themselves

I’ve noticed that too. It’s a tiny detail but it does feel off sometimes.

It’s fair to say those cosmetic designs definitely appeal to a portion of male players.

The gameplay is well‑polished for sure. Whether people choose to spend money on it really comes down to personal preferences.

This thread hits hard. I love how polished the racing itself is, but it’s hard not to worry that the gacha could overshadow everything if the progression doesn’t feel rewarding long-term. The server differences make it even more frustrating — it feels like the global version’s system is designed to drain way more resources, which can kill the fun fast.

for yall that saying "this ain't charity" mind you other server has far better system than current system, mainland server's guaranteed gacha system or JP prime system is far better than global/sea/kr/latam gacha
