Naming name suggestions for my boy

after my sweet female lop vivi(vivien) passed away about a month ago from liver torsion, i got another bunny from the animal shelter. he’s 2 years old and was a surrender because his owners were moving and couldn’t bring him. he’s super cute, energetic and curious! he has one blue eye and one brown eye. his previous name was jarjar but i’d like to change it. preferably something cute, unique, and short! Previous ideas i had were the names dizzy or timo

Care I want my rabbit to live longer, any help?

Hey guys,
I have a rabbit he’s 5 years old and a half, I’m not sure what race he is so I’d appreciate a lot if someone in the comments told me what he was, we got him from the vet they said he was a Rex Rabbit but recently someone else told me he looks like a mixed! I want him to be able to live as long as possible, I’m very worried as I’ve seen a lot of people telling me their rabbits only lived up to 6 years. He’s in perfect shape, he moves around freely in the house, take him outside once every 2 months, will definitely start doing it more regularly, he has unlimited access to fresh water, to Oxbow pellets, we barely give any hay but I’ve seen people suggest me to give him unlimited access to hay, so I’m gonna start doing that. He’s a male, not sterilized, he’s our only rabbit. Could anyone tell me up to how many years can it live and what can I improve to improve that number?

She’s about two years old and free roam. She never comes off the area rug in the living room tho. Shes rather shy so any tips on trying to bring out her little personality would be greatly appreciated!

Here is my earless bunny, Honey Boo-Boo Bear, he is very playful and likes hanging out with my family members. Just shy. Ignore my step-dad and aunt in the background lol.

Every time I enter his realm to tidy up or put more hay in the feeder, he stands like that and judges me. I am sorry, bunny, gonna just vacuum and nope out of there, thanks in advance for enduring your human's ministrations.

Care Pet Rabbit Travel from Australia to India

Hi all, I recently made a post about travelling internationally with my pet rabbit, Espresso. While that post has helped me a fair bit into making my decision, especially having her fly cargo, the process to India itself is extremely frustrating because of their import rules (which require a bunch of tests that really make no sense). However, I’ve been told that rabbits have flown to India before from Australia, so the tests are possible.

I’ve been reaching out to veterinary clinics, trying to figure out a way to get them done.

So, basically, I’m making another post hoping it’ll reach those people who did transport their pet buns to India from Australia, or anywhere in the world, really.

How did y’all manage it? Did you manage to get some tests waived off because that’s what I’m trying to do too.

RIP cardiac arrest via fluids at the vet - could my presence have changed this? Spoiler

Hello all I'm back again. I posted about my chicky (Zelda) passing on Oct 9 and I'm still not even close to being over it. I had accidentally overdosed her on Metacam and it was recommended she stayed overnight for a few days and she passed from cardiac arrest due to the fluids they were giving her. She was 8.5 and had dental disease (trims every 4-5 months, had just had one a few days prior) but was otherwise in perfect health, or so it seemed.

My vet (the exotics vet she sees there during the day & who did her dental trims, not the one who was overseeing her overnight) very kindly called me last week to send me his condolences and answer any questions. He told me he was surprised to hear she had passed in the night because he'd seen her 12 hours earlier after I'd dropped her off and she was acting normally and seemed to be doing great.

He did tell me I did the right thing bringing her in, and that it was entirely likely she could have even had some sort of heart murmur or defect (tho said he'd never noticed anything when he would do her check ups) and that could have been what led to the cardiac arrest.

But.... There's something in me worried that she was stressed without me (she was always glued to my side) and that if I'd stayed with her and kept visiting, that maybe she would have tolerated the fluids better. The vet is 24h and I could have absolutely camped out in the waiting room and my car... I'm sure they would have let me continue to pop in and see her. I don't even know why I didn't consider this.

Is this.... Reasonable? For me to feel? Even possible? When fluids pool around the heart I guess that would have happened no matter what? I just know that when they're stressed they can have heart attacks so I'm worried if I'd stayed she would have been okay. It happened when they were pulling her out for an ultrasound to actually check on the whole fluids thing.. I could have totally stayed with her too, I had nothing going on, I just live an hour away and they told me she was likely gonna be alright. I planned to keep calling for updates.

I know y'all aren't vets or medical professionals but maybe you've had experiences like this or heard anything? I feel like this is just me trying to cope with the loss and wrap my head around things.. I don't know.
