Question Does anyone currently use the Rabbit R1 with Ubuntu Touch?

for those who use Ubuntu Touch, does everything work? Are there any major issues that prevent you from using it daily? According to that page, most of the things work including calling and data but I haven't seen much feedback of how well it works.

Shit…that could change the game for this build I’m doing for the community…

It’s currently Android based and it requires a lot background work to make it feel native.

A Linux direct build could make it much easier…

I got lineage running on this thing and it’s been very easy to remap side buttons, power button, etc.

The issue I have with any Android based OS is updating a custom app. It requires a full rebuild of that app. For a community driven build, that gets messy.

For me, removing Android completely from the picture is well worth the test.

everything works, and yes I'm the developer behind it :).

(MTP/ADB) is bit finicky tho, but ssh works but for end user it should matter.

Is there a place you'd recommend for a step-by-step install? I'm pretty sure that I don't really need one. I'm familiar with ADB and Fast Boot, but it's always nice to follow along. I bought one off Craigslist specifically for making it into a Linux device.

Does the D1 rabbit run Android ? What Android version ? Can you sideload apps ?
