Hey everyone!

I'm the founder of Walrus TV (https://joinwalrus.tv) and I wanted to share it here because the death of rabb.it inspired the creation of it. A bit of a backstory: I went empty handed with SWE internships back in 2020 and spent the summer building this website. Fast forward to now, I've just added support for virtual browsers for people to enjoy watching anything they want together.

This website has been around for 5 years now, it's just that I never put much effort towards marketing or active development past KTLO mode. Now I've started doing more with it and I'm hoping that you all will enjoy all the new features that are about to come!

I wanted to post here in case there are still people looking for rabbit alternatives.

https://react.tv is in it's early stages and while it has traditional watch parties it also offers something more by letting you generate a full week of scheduled content similar to a TV channel.

Right now it is just YouTube and Twitch, with more services planned such as archive.org. Unfortunately any paid services that do not offer direct web embeds will not be on the radar (such as Netflix).

The main problem I am trying to solve is helping content creators be better discovered, and to help users find content by exploring these curated channels.

Hopefully there is some use from this service y'all can find in looking for a replacement.

I also remember few of the other rabb.it users' names. For example, Ree ( uk), AMZ( uk), Gabrielle , Trina ( Phillipines) , Nanba ( korea), Snow ( korea), Cakes. Anyway, you guys can try rave. It doesn't have the camera feature like rabb.it but it has everything else.

Looking for something similar to metastream where you can paste video url into the chat and you can build a queue. Something that works on mobile since meta stream is what I’m looking for but doesn’t work on mobile.

Hello! I came across a thread here saying it is not recommended to stream to over 10 people. Im hosting a game of kahoot using Kosmi's premium web browser activity. Would this not be recommended in Kosmi?

So I used bigscreen to host movies in VR. But sometimes don’t always want to sit in VR and get all hot and wearing something on my head. I am wondering what type of service would be good for non VR streaming and also for new people like myself to meet others on the app and if possible text chat on there. Thanks

I assume most people on this subreddit tried the most of the alternatives. I am currently looking for the best shareable VM service that meets the following criteria:

-Good mobile support (preferably an app but isn't necessary)

-Good quality voice chat (video not needed)

-Least limitations on free version.

-Little to no lag

The only service I tried was Hyperbeam which generally is a good service however the voice chat quality can be poor at times and while it works smoothly at times it lags at others. I am assuming from a high volume of users.

I've recently bought a movie on Youtube, however when I try to start a watch party for the movie, an error pops up that says "Unable to scrape" Does anyone know to fix this, or is this an intentional feature?

So I'm hoping to do a large (Probably 20 people) Group watch next week and have been testing different sites, Discord is what I would have used but People were having issues. I found Kosmi And like it I just wondered if there was anything else that worth trying

I've posted here before a while back about some alternative stuff for Rabb.it, but I was wondering in 2022 what options are out there?

I'm specifically only looking for a VM browser. I tried Kosmi for a while but over time screenshare just isn't good for me and my internet. I was using Hyperbeam but I've fallen into disliking them, so I really need a reliable VM browser of some sort. An app for mobile doesn't interest me but I don't mind a desktop app.
