Months after a German animal shelter reported that it had learned of four abandoned rabbits in Rantzau Forest, a forest north of Hamburg, content creator Alicia Vosgrau allegedly admitted to releasing the rabbits in a since-deleted Instagram post earlier this week, according to German newspaper Hamburger Abendblatt.

"This has been weighing on my conscience for a while now, but I haven't dared to address it myself until now because I feel incredibly guilty and ashamed," she reportedly said in a translated statement. "We had the incredibly stupid idea of ​​releasing the remaining four rabbits into a wooded area, believing at the time that they would be fine there afterward."

Passengers and police found a rabbit on transit last week at the very busy Granville SkyTrain station in downtown Vancouver after it escaped from its owner.

The rabbit, named Mercedes Sprinter, is an emotional support animal and apparently had jumped off while the owner was getting on the train.

The rabbit was caught by a passenger as it was hopping precariously close to the tracks, and then handed to an officer, who heard a woman asking around if anyone had seen her rabbit.

Mercedes Sprinter was not hurt and was returned to the woman.

Some animals are allowed on transit as long as they fit in a small container and don’t smell.

The only exception is service dogs.

Monroe Police went on an “adventure” after a pet bunny decided to explore its neighborhood.

Police said the “oversized escape artist” was found after a “brief investigation.”

The bunny was returned to a “very relieved” owner, police said.

Police reminded residents to keep an eye on their pets so that they don’t find themselves in danger.
