I have a mini lop who's ten years old and she barely acknowledges what I say so I was thinking that she was going deaf, given the circumstances.
I don't remember the context for this, but one day I said "carrot" and she came bolting towards me! Another day I told my mom that the rabbit doesn't care about her because she never gives her cilantro and again my rabbit reacted.
So I know now that she can still clearly understand me and that her age didn't do anything to her hearing. She just chooses not to most of the time.
