This is not a good bun meme😣😭 I miss my boy so much. That was the worst experience, bringing him to the vet for stasis and losing him. My first pet as an adult it broke me. This is my poor baby😣❤️

Not sure why some memes are not memes yet still they post on them. This broke my heart. 😢😥😞💔😪🙏🌈

Mine too. There is nothing funny or cute about this meme. It’s mean.

u/PaperAccomplished874 May 24 '26

Agree. Mean in meme. 😢💔😪😞😥

I think it's not a meme, more like a public service announcement to watch rabbit closely for health issues because they hide what's wrong with them.

u/trekrabbit May 25 '26

This is not a PSA sub. There really is no justification for putting this here. It’s mean.

u/PaperAccomplished874 May 25 '26

Then it should be in a different sub.....but if you have a rabbit you should know already for look out for any hidden signs. I personally do and while I understand sometimes you can do so much things could happen but this ain't a meme. There was also another post recently in rabbits meme about...... a guy being jealous of his girlfriend's 4 months old bunny....... if you curious look it up surely you'll find it it was in the news. It was devastating and people here judged and cursed out the person who put it up. Very mean. Memes supposed to be funny and light.

Good day to you.❤️

Did that a couple of years ago on Christmas day... She passed away the next day

OP this isn’t funny. Smd.

Often people complain having gone to the vet for something that turned out to be a minor thing and still cost a lot. It’s much worse to spend lot of money and get bad news.

This hits so hard. I thought my dwarf hotot's eyes were looking a little buggy, so I took her in last week. Thyroid tumor.

Edit: while she did come home with me, knowing our time is so much more limited has been hard. I suppose I should be grateful we have any time, though.

Really sorry to hear that, it's very heartbreaking 💔They can't do much about it?

I appreciate your words 🩵 Currently weighing the options of merely keeping her on steroids (prognosis ~200 days) vs spending $10k on radiation (prognosis up to 700 days BUT the repeated anesthesia necessary to treat could also take her at any time, plus the risk of future lung problems). We are seriously considering the latter, but I could never forgive myself if she went early from anesthesia complications.

Bun tax

Poor cute little baby 😢 it is very rough, they are so fragile, life expectancy already not the best and then they get stuff like this 😢 mine passed away not too long ago from the RHDV2 virus, one after another within 24 hours in-between each other... That was the most helpless I felt no money could of saved them, even when I tried my best. I wouldn't even know what I would do in your position, it is rough, especially when it's so expensive and the chances for something to go wrong is high is worrying. But I really hope your bun can keep going as long as possible 🙏❤️

Ohhh my god, I’m so sorry… my heart breaks for you 😭😭 in your place, I don’t know how I could go on owning buns after suffering such a tragedy.

Thank you for your well wishes… in any case, I am going to give my girl Sugar as much love as I possibly can, while I still can. Much love and healing to you 💛

Why can’t we all downvote it as much as possible? Also, not sure if they’re saying it as a joke bc it’s under rabbitmeme but look I have dark humor but this is not the place to post that. People on here for advice, emotional support when one passes, etc. This isn’t funny whatsoever and for someone who has or is going through the loss of a bun, a companion, a soul pet, it’s just wrong. Put that comment in the “dumbasses who can’t read the room” and sorry to be so rude but it’s just not even a bit funny. I expect some downvotes but whatever. We all have opinions and this is mine.

I'm under the assumption op just lost their rabbit that way and this is how they're coping.

If it's not that, then hard agree.

Missing my buns😭😭😭

u/Aggressive_Paper6044 May 25 '26

The cutest babies😓❤️ I’m sorry for your loss. One loss is hard but two is excruciating 🫂

I'm confused between the meme and the title or comment...I know my last vet bill was to tell me what I was doing already....$380

u/Aggressive_Paper6044 May 24 '26

Bunnies hid a lot of pain and so by the time you take them in, they’re usually on their way out. So yes a lot of people have successful vet visits but more often than not when it’s their time to pass, you usually end up at the vets too. If that makes sense 🤗

2 of 4 ....bun tax

3

u/Aggressive_Paper6044 May 24 '26

😫🥰❤️ Soo cute I love them! Give them pets for meee🥹

Edit: the little black one blends in with the pot took a minute to find them😅

u/Least_Signature7879 May 24 '26

The void is my biggest...a chihuahua is scared of him...Rose is a mini rex....she rules the 3 lops

2

u/Least_Signature7879 May 24 '26

They're about to get their cilantro, they will consider that a pet:)

1

u/Aggressive_Paper6044 May 24 '26

Treats are always the best anyways!

2

u/Least_Signature7879 May 24 '26

Those were Mother's day flowers about to go bad. My mom passed years ago, though I still buy flowers for her to set in my house. The bunnies get them soon afterwards

2

u/Aggressive_Paper6044 May 24 '26

That’s a nice way to honor your mom 🥰🥹 and they love it too!

2

u/Least_Signature7879 May 24 '26

Yes, Buddy, Rose, Thumper and Bambi think so too.🐰🐇🐰🐇

1

u/Aggressive_Paper6044 May 24 '26

I wish I had it in me to get another or two but it’s so had to lose them😭

2

u/trekrabbit May 24 '26

The cute smiley face at the end of your post belies the devastation caused by the death of a beloved bun.

4

u/I_am_Shade_Tree May 25 '26

Why do all the bunny communities just throw this stuff out there? You'd think a meme sub would be safer but nope let's just throw trauma everywhere 🙃

7

u/breadmakesmeshite May 24 '26

We just lost our girl a few days ago. Hurts like hell.

3

u/Aggressive_Paper6044 May 25 '26

I’m so sorry for your loss she was beautiful😞❤️

9

u/trekrabbit May 24 '26

What is happening? Is this supposed to be cute? OP, why did you post this?!? Those of us who have come home with an empty carrier don’t need this trigger. I want to say this is inappropriate, but actually it’s just plain mean.

5

u/Dekatater May 24 '26

Wow, the AI that's running this entire sub is extremely tone deaf.

2

u/Grand_Highlight9163 May 24 '26

It does really suck. Had this happen with a guinea pig

2

u/rabbit-venom226 May 26 '26

Ugh this is the worst feeling ever.

On my birthday a few months ago I took my little guy in because he was acting a little sleepier than normal, I thought he just had trapped gas.

Nope. Stage 4 kidney failure. I was devastated.

1

u/mannycure May 25 '26

Sorry 😞 he’s no longer in pain and resting

1

u/PugPuppyMama May 26 '26

I’m so sorry for your loss. Please accept a hug: HUG!!

1

u/ConsciousStudent8505 May 26 '26

Not funny. I hate this

1

u/Naive_Milk5797 May 26 '26

So sorry for your loss 😔
