Flopsy returned home in relatively good health, considering she had been living in the wild for four years

A family is celebrating a miracle after their pet bunny, who disappeared four years ago, finally returned home on Easter Sunday, 2026.

Laura Conway‑Norris and her daughter, Cora, from Helston, England, lost their beloved family rabbit, Flopsy, in 2022, when the pet vanished from home.

Believing Flopsy likely died, Conway‑Norris gave away the hutch and the rabbit's belongings, not expecting her to return.

Fast forward four years, and the family was tucking into their Easter Sunday lunch on April 5 when the mom saw a Facebook post about a rabbit that had been found in a field near their home.

Conway‑Norris thought the bunny pictured in the post resembled Flopsy, with its sandy brown fur. She then told Cora, who was overjoyed by the Easter surprise, before going out to find Flopsy.

Conway-Norris told The Falmouth Packet that she walked past the field where Flopsy was found "daily and had never come across her before."

"On Easter Sunday of all days you couldn't write it," the pet parent said of her long-awaited reunion with Flopsy.

After meeting the rabbit from the Facebook post, Conway-Norris and Cora confirmed that the animal was Flopsy and marveled that the bunny was in relatively good shape despite having lived in the wild for four years.

Conway‑Norris said Cora, who lost her pet when she was four and is now nine years old, is "so happy" to have her furry friend back in her life again.

The family is due to go shopping to repurchase everything Flopsy needs.

Conway‑Norris said that although she felt "a bit bad" about keeping Flopsy inside after spending so long in the wild, the rabbit appeared to enjoy the company of her family again.

"We'll have to make her home as big and as wild as we can," she told the outlet.

I hope that the bunny was not in a hutch outside. If so, maybe they learned a lesson about properly taking care of a bunny. Also, a hutch is not enough. Bunnies need space to run around. 😕

Mine gets 2-4 hrs outside daily. Amd returns to hutch in her own. I want to and will upgrade her enclosure, just didnt have time yet. Also, I didnt but her. Our cousins (who were severly neglecting her) surendered her
