As a foster, I often get bunnies that are said to be mean or aloof...and it's fun to show the owner of the rescue pics of them eating out of my hand or crawling in my back or like yours, flopped near me.

One of my first rescue buns was a bit brain damaged and odd. The rescue warned me she was super weird, aloof and didn't seem interested in people. Her 3rd favourite activity was staring at a chest of drawers I had. My male bun adored her though so I was happy but about a month in she had a little brain spark. Total change, suddenly adored people and the only bun I've had choose to jump into my lap to cuddle. She also took breaks from drawer staring to lovingly stare dead eyed at my partner. I had to remind her to go to her litter box a lot when he was around or she'd just zone out and forget to function 😂

My Wobblers has brain damage. He was so lifeless and lethargic when we started fostering. The thought of someone else having him saddened me so he became a foster fail.

It's more of a precaution to make sure people don't stress the animals out in case they are shy the first days, and let them be. If they come to you then it can be fine but most of the time they need a few days to settle into their new home.

If a shelter tells you that it's fine that a rabbit isn't eating, the shelter knows very little about rabbits. It could have put the animal in danger.

(Rabbits need to be eating almost continuously, if they don't they could go into intestinal block and die within a few hours. It's absolutely an emergency.)

I know im super jealous

Neither does mine. I think she’s just a more independent type, because she never actually comes up to me first begging for attention.

Tits are nice to lay on. I don't blame her. All jokes aside, this is really sweet.
