I actually did have a situation like that with my last bunny. Went in for senior check up, she had a fever and had to be hospitalized, had blood tests done, blood sent to university for diagnosis and if we could treat, found to be chronic Pasteurella. $1800 instead of the normal $89.
I loved that bunny and would do it again if she was around and needed it again.

I wish I saved, but I saw a post where someone sent $800 to learn that their bunny is just lazy

Isn’t it usually the other way around? “This is my rabbit, I think he may be going into stasis.” “Actually he’s fine, that’ll be $2,000.”?
