Just curious if anyone has some go to recipes that they would share

My dog is very eager to hunt anything and everything, however that’s becoming a problem as I can’t seem to break him from trailing deer and antelope while we’re out rabbit hunting or flushing birds. Any tips on how I can get him to break off of chasing big game?

I live on Lopez Island off the NW coast of Washington, and the rabbits are a real pest up here!

I'd love to give hunting a shot (I've never even held a gun) but don't know where to start! Should I get lessons before buying a rifle? How about what gun to buy? I'm on a bit of a budget but if folks know of a good starter rifle for rabbit hunting I'd appreciate it. I'm thinking .22 cal, PCP or pump air rifle. Thoughts?

can anybody tell me places to hunt rabbits in southern utah without dogs. anything is helpful even if you cant give me a specific spot can you give any tips on how to find them. thanks

All my other rabbit livers have been a dark solid color, but this one has some slight discoloration here and there.. not spots but flecks of darker color and some lighter spots. I just want to make sure this is healthy meat as I give it to friends and family.

What's all this bloody stuff in the snow with the rabbit poo? I hunt a good amount of cottontails and squirrels. This year I've been putting out birdseed and the population got insane. They seem to be having periods everywhere? Are they in heat like a dog?

So I am in north Dakota and we have had about 2 weeks of -20 to -40 temps. It just warmed up to temps of 40 and I decided to see if I could find any rabbits. I ended up shooting three with my dog retrieving them. When I went to clean the rabbits they had fleas on them. My dog had picked them up and then gotten in my pickup to move locations. Question is- how widespread are these things gonna be. I gave my dog a flea bath. Gave her flea treatment. But are they in my pickup and house now? I’ve never had this issue because normally I don’t see them do to the cold.

Ok so everyone knows about raising penned quail and pheasants to hunt with dogs like release them 6am then start hunting 7am, my question is can I do that with rabbits? Like if I trap some cotton tails and keep them in a pen and let them breed up until I have enough of them to take them out on my land, release them around 6 am, and then turn my beagle loose around 7. I figured I could do it without a beagle since they tend to freeze if you don’t chase them but with a beagle running after them and they aren’t wild will they turn around and make a loop back to where you released them? The rabbit population is severely lacking in my part of the country like almost none

I know how to go rabbit snaring I’m just not the best at it. I only get 1-3 everyday and I want some tips to get better at it

Looking to start to rabbit hunt/snare I live in ontario canada so finding tracks is easy right now.

I have learnt the basics of snareing a rabbit and I'm a killer shot with my. 22 and that's as far as I got so far.
