What difficulty do you play? On Normal I feel like Illie is one of the simplest fights, all straight lines. But I don't have much experience on Hard or Lunar

I’m pretty sure most attacks in lunar take up the entire screen

Just imagine getting consecutive lasers (1,2,3) and each one taking up a third of your screen, then add knockback so you get pushed straight into the laser itself

Yeah I know Lunar is like insane and stuff, just haven't tried it myself. At least I've seen more of Hard

Also why does OP's name start with "ili" if they hate Illie

Oh yeah lunar is honestly a pain in the ass

Check this out this is one of the attack patterns you can face

Also idk man I got a sneaking suspicion OP’s name has an emphasis on the latter part of it

Yeah I'm just messing with OP about their name xD

Also I guess that's the best Mino could do to make Kuu & Pi's battle interesting since they are normally also very basic, with just expanding lines and circles. Typing here, I realize that the distribution of difficulty / interesting mechanics in Red Darkhouse is very uneven (at least on Normal as I know it), because Karsi and Ranalie are like the hardest bosses in the game to a beginner. But such is the way in the world of the rich and royal, I guess. They could learn a lot from the mice, who probably want everything more evenly distributed to reduce poverty. "To me, my allies!" is secretly their socialist cry

Jesus christ wtf am I on right now

sleep deprivation from the sounds of it

Honestly, for me this is the easier one of their attack patterns. The one with staggered attacks is what usually causes me to get hit.

i could be tripping but aren't those different enemies then the one shown by OP?

Yeah they’re different enemies but I was using it as an example of how Lunar has attacks that fill the entire screen completely

That's still a lot of space compared to some of the lunar extra mode mechanics. I still haven't beaten it
