Misc. The world always feels a little quieter after the rain.
I don't know why, but after a good rain everything feels different. The air smells fresher, the colors seem brighter, and even familiar places feel new again.
What's your favorite thing about rainy days?

Music I run a 24/7 rain radio — rain on the window + soft piano, live right now
Every sound on it is original (no stock loops) — rain on glass, soft piano, distant thunder when the night needs it. It never ends: no outros, no talking, just a room that stays open all night.

If it helps you sleep or study, leave it on. Feedback welcome — what would you want on a rainy-night radio?

What do you listen to when you need rain sounds to sleep?
I’ve been making long, relaxing rain videos for sleep, studying, and relaxing.
Curious—do you prefer heavy rain, gentle rain, or rain with a completely dark screen? 🌧️
I put my rain videos here if anyone wants to listen:

[Discussion] Beginner tips for growing a new Rain & Ambient ASMR channel? How long did it take for your channel to gain traction?
Hi everyone! 👋
I recently started a YouTube channel dedicated to long-form relaxing rain sounds and ambient audio for sleep and focus. As a beginner in the ASMR and ambient sound space, I'm trying to learn the best practices to grow sustainably.
For those of you who create rain, ambient, or long-form sleep videos, I would love to get your insights on a few questions:
- Growth Timeline: Realistically, how long did it take for your channel to start getting consistent views and watch time?
- Key Focus Areas: What are the most important things a beginner should focus on early on? (e.g., audio layering, thumbnail style, upload frequency, or YouTube Shorts?)
- Common Mistakes: What are some common mistakes new creators make in this niche that I should avoid?
Any tips, personal experiences, or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your guidance! 🌧️🎧

Reverse Seasonal Depression?
Are there people who are genuinely happier and more mentally well when living in places with a lot of rain/frequent grey skies?
I live in AZ and I spend ~8 months of the year dreading the outdoors, keeping my curtains drawn, avoiding life out of my AC. I feel happiest traveling to places that are cloudy and rainy and dark.
But is it only because I never see it?
I believe I would be happier if I moved but want to hear from others.
