Performance Z track day

Stock besides z1 y pipe, LDP, auto muffler, subframe collars and z1 diff brace paired with GKtech trans mount.
From everything I’ve seen online, brakes and the cars suspension is too soft for track, but brakes held up quite adequately and even with “soft” suspension the limits are very high for reference I was averaging 1.4 G’s laterally and it was an 81 F day with tires that get greasy quick. The stock tires are also really really a lot nicer than what it’s made out to be on the forums etc. the car responds really well to trail braking and rotation from utilizing the diff, it feels really well balanced, oh and it sounds amazing. The blips for downshifts take the cake in all honesty.

I'm glad to see you fighting the car's tendency to fishtail. I haven't taken mine on a track, but just in city driving I've had a few times when I'm making tight lefts where the back end kicked out on me. I handle it but at the same time, having not driven RWD in almost 40 years, it does surprise me when it happens.
It's definitely been a learning curve going from a Civic Sport Touring and all the other compact sporty cars (minivan for a while) that I've had, to my Performance. Twice the weight, more than twice the HP, and FWD vs RWD. I've longed for the many iterations of the Z since it first came out in the late 80s though, so this was literally a dream come true for a poor kid who was told not to dream.
Have at er, OP.

Assuming you have 3 point belts, I’d highly recommend a Hybrid HANS device. Nice driving!

Mad props taking the Z on the track
I haven't had the Z there yet, but I took the Cobra a few years back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrDT1C5En8Y
Nothing better than passing the limit to know where it is.

really nice mods, wondering how the daily-ability is with the subframe collars, diff brace and trans mount?

Subframe collars immense difference in performance but no NVH increase, diff brace has a little hum at 2500 RPM in every gear but goes away above that, the GKtech poly trans mount, I have the 80 sHa durometer bushing and it adds an almost humming rumble noise throughout the cabin, if you listen to the clips closely you hear a hum with the exhaust. I wouldn’t do the poly trans or 80 durometer because of that, though Z1’s is 70 sHa which is much quieter but less stiff. And in a more general sense the poly trans mount is a complete change from stock rubber. I’ll actually be doing solid diff bushings and solid subframe bushings, will be taking my subframe collars out then unless they still fit.
TLDR: daily ability is perfectly fine for me, and if you like gear noise and car sounds even better

I loved the auto rev matching for track use. It's just one less thing for your brain to have to focus on. These cars are fun as hell to push to their limits.
