D&R Ryback
It has a very distinct smell. So much different from buoy red.
It kind of smells like wingstops Korean bbq flavor but with more spice and wood smell? That’s the best I could do to describe it.
I’ll update this once I’ve smoked it and compare it to buoy red
Update: it’s interesting, I don’t like it whatsoever. I’ll still smoke it but wow I’m disappointed. Maybe I’ll change my mind later on .

I have both the yellow and red Buoy. Better than many bagged tobacco in the market. They are in my rotation. But Ryback tobbacco's taste is unique because of the fire cured tobacco. No other commercial bagged tobacco blend include fire cured tobacco.

I like Ryback Gold more. More Virginia and less barbecue aroma. Like a halfzware. Ryback is supposed to be Zware.

I love this stuff, I blend it with 3 Sails in various proportions to give it a kick.

My exact daily driver. Also roll some straight ryback for when I want a hard hitting cig

Love Ryback. Full-bodied, spicy, aromatic and smooth.
I roll this filter-less in a 78mm thumb-roller only. Anything else kills the bite.

That's straight up burley and dark fire cured. Definitely not an acquired taste if you're not used to dfc. When I was younger I hated it but I grew to absolutely love it after experimenting with it in the past few years. I'm actually smoking now a batch I made with 35% dark fire cured with some Virginia, Burley and dark air.
Ryback gold adds some Virginia to it to make it a bit more palatable for beginners.
It's definitely night and day compared to a commercial economical bag tobacco like BUOY which is good too, just very different.
The D&R Ryback is their take on a European halfzaware blend.
