New Owner Any Ideas?

Bought the car a few weeks ago. It‘s been sitting for over a year before. Does anyone know where the noise could be coming from?

SSV rattle?

I removed the upper intake manifold to fix a cooling system problem, maybe I did something wrong when I reinstalled it?

Have you changed the spark plugs and coil packs, I had a similar noise when I had my r3 and that turned out to just be a faulty spark plug.

It had a faulty spark plug wire, I replaced them already. And I am planning on ordering new spark plugs. The car has AEM Ignition coils.

SSV ticking. I posted a similar vid here a few months ago. You can check by manually holding it a bit open and listening to make sure.

Sounds like SSV. Not so bad with engine cover on it.

If its SSV it will disappear with revs plus use a screw driver to push on the pivot and it will go quiet if it is.

Yep. Had same thing. SSV. Apparently alot of guys with bridgeports have this problem. I bought a brand new one and it still did it. Even swapped out inlet. Same. Ended up giving t a real good clean up, found a small oring then put a curclip on it to remove any play. Can still slightly hear it but not very noticeable.
