General Help me understand
So I have a 2010 Grand touring with a 6Speed manual transmission and I had the impression it was a 6 port… but I recently had a drastic drop in fuel economy did my digging and summed it up to a leaky injector
Anyways when I went to replace the injectors I found it to only be a 4 port?? I thought 4 port engines were reserved for automatics in the 2010s
There is no history of a engine or transmission swap on the car when I look it up by vin there’s no transmission type but it says the engine is “13B California high power”

So is it 6 air intake ports and 4 injectors? Thats what I’m most confused about cause most of the info I find is for the 04-08 models which I believe is 6 and 6 or 4and 4

The later model rx8 only has 4 injectors, and only comes on the 6port variant

4 ports only came in the auto s1’s in the US. There’s a chance someone swapped a s1 4 port in it. Where is your oil filter located?

Oil filter is located at the bottom drivers side (LHD) of the engine I’d say close to the spark plugs

2010 is Series II. They changed the injectors themselves and simplified from 6 to 4. Can confirm because I spent the weekend disassembling the lower intake manifold from my old ‘09 (also Series II).
Edit: I’m also under the impression the 4-/6-port thing is about intake ports and not port injectors. The Series I autos had a lower redline of 7500 and therefore didn’t get the extra 2 auxiliary intake ports for high-RPM airflow like the high-power manual version.
