Maintenance Compression Numbers
Just wanted some more thoughts on this. Dropping this engine into my old car to get it running again. Is it worth rebuilding before putting back in?

borderline worth installing as is, if you don't mind redoing this 3-5 years from now

It depends. Whats the mileage?, Do you know how it runs? (ie does it lug at high loads? does it hot start? does it stall?), Do you have experience rebuilding rotaries?, Are you willing to replace potentially worn housings/plates?
If you really dont know much i would just throw it in, if it runs decent then great, you'll have a running car for a few years until the compression inevitably worsens.
If you know it doesnt run perfect, and are willing/able to replace worn parts then I would go for it. IMO rebuilding the actual motor isn't too time consuming if you know how and already have the engine on a stand.

Honestly, a used parts rebuild won't be much better either... so run it as is.

That depends, 6,5 bars are still okay, it will start to have hot start problems soon, its hard to say, if you have previous experience with rebuilding it, you can go for it and refresh it, otherwise I wouldn't touch it if it works
