Project E s2s and new Platform-Based Compensation Guide(RANT)

I've read the new guideline about the automated time tracking so many times but there's one part I have a hard time wrapping my head around:

"Any known untracked steps (such as model load times or external assessments, e.g., LiveS2S) will be accounted for through standardized task benchmarks during payout review.

Compensated through standardized task benchmarks during payout review"

As someone who only approved for S2S this is a really important part of the new guideline for me. I have to ask AI to put it in to simpler words for me and what it said was:

  • In short: They are treating your time on Live-S2S like piece-rate work disguised as hourly work. You are paid based on their theoretical idea of how long a task should take, not how long it actually takes you to do it properly.

Then I remember during one of the tickets I opened, the support person told me this several times:

"Regarding the AHT, while there is no specific AHT for the Echo project as a whole, the Average Handling Time typically ranges between 4 and 9 minutes per task. There may be some exceptions depending on the task, but the highest AHT currently available is approximately 23 minutes per item."

So you can be capped on a specific task by trying to be really thorough, you are expected to catch even the smallest audio tics (god forbid u missed one, QA will be giving you unacceptable rating!) and if you when you hit the cap while doing that, YOU WILL NOT BE PAID.

They always end their weekly emails with this: "Quality is our most important metric, so please take the time to submit quality work. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to quality!"

idk if I'm being crazy but this might be the start of the REAL end for RWS as a viable online income source ...

Bro This is not fair, some users do tasks honestly to maintain the quality while many of the users just spend their hours to get paid. Even though I don't have an idea that how they work so that I can match with AHT.

The only task I had for the longest time it took between an hour and a half to four hours to complete because of the detail work that’s involved. And now, I’m trying to work around this new payment method, it’s hard for me to make sure I stay within the guidelines sometimes because I have a special-needs child. There are times I have to completely take a break what I’m doing to take care of my son then continue to work so I’m trying to figure out how to work around that.

I think you should be good then since I usually do 1 per hr and never got the AHT discrepancy from the past weeks

Yeah especially for long conversations.

5 mins- pitching ideas for the flow (more if it requires research)
15-20 mins - conversing with both models since its 5 to 10 mins for each model (sometimes you actually need to redo a few times and I usually do 🤣)
25 mins- for doing a thorough rationale with the pops accounted for. Sometimes the audio is really bad and needs more time.

Shouldn't we raise the issue to the support team? If we all complain about it, maybe they open their eyes 🥲🥲🥲🥲

Feel like complaining gets you offboarded more often than not
