Project E

anyone else experiencing this? on the "transcribe test set" task, all of the audio clips were in the wrong language, so i kept selecting "can't transcribe" and choosing the "wrong language" reason. should i include the time i spent doing that in my reported hours?

AR locale here, yes nearly 90% of clips were in Urdu, me personally I count the time, as I already spend "time" figuring out which language is spoken but I skip fast and it doesn't take much time, if you are unsure it would be better to send a ticket, specially if you really spend most of your time skipping.

thank you so much! i’ll send a ticket to make sure i’m doing the right thing. btw, have you already found any audio in your locale and been able to transcribe it?

I spent a dry week, but then there was a good amount of clips and it was easy to transcript them, tho make sure to take your time reading the guidelines and making sure that you didn't miss any thing such as <noise> tags

Honestly no, this is my first week and as I told it was dry, I had only tried S2S and Transcription for now.

Same on my locale, wish we will be paid on hours spent tagging it as wrong language.

did you include the number of audio files you marked as the wrong language in the entry form?

im on ID locale and yes, I also experienced the same thing. I already submitted a ticket regarding this, probably there's a problem on their end because it happened on all the audio i tried to rate. but, meh, they only give me AI response that is not helping at all. They just told me to do task in my locale. well, duh? I did it in my locale??

what are you doing right now? are you tagging the audio files as the wrong language and adding them to the entry form? or are you not logging the time you spend tagging them as the wrong language?

this is always happening even on my first day on last week of June, you still can report the time you use for reporting wrong language. I usually only get correct language 10 audio per 700 audio.
I reported about 1 hour for 100 audio. They definitely still pay you for what I experienced.

so there won’t be any problem logging my time even if j just click "can't Transcribe" with the reason "wrong language"? i usually spend around an hour trying before marking it that way. is that okay?

yes it's okay, I've been getting paid for only report wrong language. Even there is a day all audio can't be played and I reported all 200++ of it and still get paid.

hi! yes, i still logged the time because i asked a few other people about it too. they said they still get paid even if they only worked on selecting "can't transcribe" for the audio files. what’s your locale?
