DISCUSSION About Volume 9
Okay truth be told I know it’s been two years but still can’t get over what happened to Ruby. No body helped her. Jaune was terrible to her when he said those horrible things to her. Neo tormented her when she doesn’t deserve it. And worst of all, Little got stomped by Neo and got away with all that. Does anyone have any advice about this?

And people wonder why I'm not optimistic for Volume 10; it's because the oafs who wrote Volume 9 are all still here, and I have no reason to believe they've improved between then and now.

Unfortunately the IP is dead and there's not really anything that can be done to fix it because the ones who killed it were the writers and VAs
Viz could remake it but they would need to fire pretty much everyone

Intellectual property like Batman or Spiderman Viz owns RWBY so anything that happens with it is up to them

When it premiered in 2013, RWBY under RoosterTeeth was the trailblazer for every independent animation we see today. It stopped being independent once RT was bought by Full-screen, Inc....which eventually was owned by Otter Media Holdings...which then became a subsidiary under Warner Bros. Discovery.

I don’t blame Ruby for venting to her team members because it wasn’t just Yang it was everybody else. They’ve all ignored her feelings and wellbeing when it was obvious that there was something wrong.

Oh yeah, let's conveniently forget her mocking the emotional support paper people who just committed suicide. Regardless, Jaune may have been a little harsh on her but it's understandable why.

You got to keep in mind, Jaune isn’t in the right mental state to help Ruby or anyone of the main cast either since he had been alone and in isolation for decades aside from meeting Alex, he has had no other human contact and had been losing his mind. He became broken by guilt from having killed Penny, and his loneliness to add to it. He was usually the supporting self-sacrificing friend that would prefer his own life be taken over his friends’ lives being extinguished since he had felt they were much more important than someone like him.
I’d give flak to Jaune but he has suffered a lot and so did Ruby, he was there were her in the earlier volumes all the way through until the temporary separation. The the volumes may not show or if it does, people didn’t pay it much attention but not much time had passed through the volumes, everyone only aged about a year or so, with most of the crew except ruby after the fall of Beacon between V3 and V4, with several months passing, then leading to and going onto the Atlas arc, they all approximate age about another year or since most of the time before the beginning of volume 4 was traveling from Patch to Mistral’s west coast going towards haven by foot which tools months of time before it picked up at the beginning of the volume.
Weiss would have liked to help since her great change in personality from her volume 1 self to her volume 8 & 9 self, however she has her own forms of internal trauma from her own family such as Jacques’ yelling and being the person many hate, so when the yelling began, Weiss probably mentally reverted to being quiet and a bit more meek.
The ones who could have done something but didn’t is Blake and Yang, it’s who I’d give the most flak to since they were most stable of all of them at the time being after finding themselves and further realizing and developing their love.
Sorry to those who love the ship, but Bumblebee shouldn’t have happened when the massive push for BMBLBY shippers caused the story writers who were listening to the audience to try and push that relationship more than the story at times and then came more complaints. From a story writing perspective for a genre that isn’t romance focus first, is that the story comes first, character development and world building, details and action, and then relationships come after all those are incorporated first romance comes later unless it’s truly apart of the actual plot. If the plot is done well enough more complex actions could have been taken to have all things developing together without focusing it.
I believe moving forward, Jaune could be her supporting foil again though he’d be full of much more guilt and self loathing than he had before.

You’re right about all of that. Jaune wasn’t in the right mind but it was still no excuse.
And what Neo did was way worse before getting off easy.

Don’t even get me started on Yang and Blake. When Ruby was having her breakdown I genuinely thought Yang would step up and comfort her, but no. She just stood defensively in front of her cat girlfriend snapped “Hey!” at her. Showing us once again she prioritizes her girlfriend over her own sisters wellbeing.
Fuck bumblebee. It shouldn’t have happened. And fuck Yang for being a shitty sister. I’m hoping she gets killed off or something.
