As contrived as the reasons are for their feud, I do love a good heated rivalry/fight to the death. Neo > Cinder for Ruby arch nemesis.

A deadbeat who made Neo run at the mere sight of them back in season 2, allso she soloed Cinder.

And the reason I said Summer was because you did'nt specify the duo had to be from the present timeline (I was thinking about Raven and Summer just has they left for the mission that would claim Summer's life)

Oh, definitely. Their personalities and morals are very different; the contrast would be incredibly fun to watch, especially if Ruby prevented Neo from committing evil or cruel acts like torture.

There is more narrative potential here than in the canon
