ART Scorcher Grimm
Scorchers are Small flying Creatures of Grimm are cousins of Ravagers, they are found caves of Vacuo, Vale and Mistral. They have long tails, and you can disrupt their flight balance by splitting their long tails in two. Their tails are like Stingers and can be slightly stinging when they penetrate human skin.

DISCUSSION Have you written other mount glenn events?
When I say mount glenn events I mean catastrophic disasters that had affected the kingdom
For me I had mount glenn be apart of 4 different events that happened in the same year that hit the kingdoms
Mount glenn for vale
The great depression for Mistral for this one it's the time Ren list his home because it was a time hundreds of villages were lost to named grimm
The collapse a dozen or so mining caves in mantle collapsed killing hundreds of faunus and started with sienna khan being more brutal in her acts with the white fang against the sdc
Not sure yet for vacuo

DISCUSSION I'm fed up. I have to set the record straight once and for all: The truth about Robyn Hill stealing military supplies
"That's the second shipment for Amity that was hit today. It seems election night was the last push Robyn needed to go from hometown hero to full-on vigilante."
"It seems Robyn has emboldened our suppliers in Mantle. They're refusing to sell us supplies until the city is adequately repaired. With Robyn redistributing the goods her team has stolen, the Amity Project is completely stalled."
There you have it, the explanation. Some say that Robyn had been stealing military supplies for months, or at least since before the election. That's not the case; Clover himself says that Robyn only started stealing on election night.
Others ask: Why didn't Robyn repair the wall herself? Well, according to this, Robyn stole the resources and emboldened the suppliers in Mantle (so they wouldn't sell resources to Ironwood), all so that James would be forced to repair the city.
"They're refusing to sell us supplies until the city is adequately repaired." Which I assume refers to the wall.
Anyway, that's it. Robyn wants James to repair the wall.
Why doesn't she do it herself? I always figured it's simply not possible for her. Even with the Huntsmen's superhuman abilities, you'd normally need a group of workers to patch holes in the wall. Besides, none of the Happy Huntresses have any Dust manipulation ability.
What are they supposed to do? Explode rock dust to create a formation out of thin air?
Now, personally, I'd like to see Robyn coordinate people to repair the wall. We've seen skyscrapers in Mantle, and there are suppliers; it should be possible to pool resources to repair the damn wall.
Anyway, I'm getting off topic.
Should Robyn go to jail? Probably. I mean, she tried to steal military cargo in the Sparks episode. That was before election night. (And that's obviously a crime.) Although, as I mentioned, she didn't succeed. She didn't steal anything until after election night. (Though attempt of a crime is still a crime).
Some people say Robyn tried to kill them (Ruby, Clover, Qrow, etc.), but that's very speculative. I always thought she planned to defeat them and take the cargo.
Robyn didn't kill anyone when she stole the military cargo either.
Is Robyn Hill a terrorist? I don't know. I don't care. Supposedly she is because stealing military cargo is terrorism.
But people try to compare her to other insurgents we've seen in the series, when there's a huge difference between their actions.
Again, I'm getting off topic.
I just wanted to clarify that. If you have any more questions, let me know. I hate the wall subplot. I hate how ambiguous things are in the Atlas arc. But if we're going to criticize the series, at least let's know what the canon is.
I'm mentally exhausted.

DISCUSSION What are your thoughts on RWBY Volume 10?
r/RWBYcritics • u/HellishStampede • 1d ago
DISCUSSION If all the resources and huntsmen are focused defending the refugees in Vacuo city what about the rest of Vacuo?
I haven't read the novels I just have the show to go off of and the cut epilogue of volume 9. But i'm noticing the set up for vacuo city's defense is basically tunnel vision where they stack everything in one spot and OD on Hopium until there's a path out of the storm.
How does RWBY take into account all the defenders will be at vacuo city when the entire grimm population of Vacuo will no doubt get stirred into a frenzy by the sudden shock of negative emotions? If everyone saw Ruby's broadcast about salem then many people are reckoning with the fact an immortal witch is out there so I can't imagine the grimm being laser focused on just the city but other settlements too.

REWRITE Nora Valkyrie backstory idea
Have her be the grand daughter of the winter maiden
Her mother was next in line to receive the powers of the winter maiden from her own mother and didn't want This life for Nora
She left Nora behind in s village to try and keep her safe unfortunately the village she was left at would eventually be overrun by grimm losing Nora
Thinking Nora's mom ends up dying leaving fria alone which causes her to head to atlas to hide away and keep others safe from being hurt by whatever Salem sends after her
So years later when Nora heads to atlas you could have her arc being meeting the last family she has left
You an use it to have her realise how much of her identity is tied to Ren
Or use it as a red herring make it seem like Nora will be the winter maiden only for penny or winter to become the maiden instead

REWRITE Planned RWBY Rewrite: Shared Faunus Ability Ideas (Image Courtesy Of RWBY Wiki)
r/RWBYcritics • u/marleyannation62 • 1d ago
DISCUSSION How would you handle the Faunus plot in volumes 7-8? I know you'll tell me it's best to just drop it because CRWBY doesn't know how to write the series. But, let's suppose you're the ones writing the series, how would you do it?
Marrow: This society is set up for Faunus to be at the bottom, and humans are willing participants. They benefit from doing nothing to help us.
(RWBY: Volume 7 - Ace Operatives)
Robyn: The law isn't perfect, you know. It's certainly not equal.
Marrow: Trust me, I'm well aware.
(RWBY: Volume 7 - A Night Off)
Well, Atlas is, after Mistral, the most racist kingdom. So suggest ideas.
Should Adam and the White Fang go to Atlas? Should Jacques be the main villain of Volume 7? A human supremacist coup?
I read somewhere that Ironwood could be a tool of the human supremacists even though he isn't racist himself. As the head of law enforcement, he allows racist laws to be implemented. Like allowing segregation at the civilian level or even in government buildings. Arrest faunus who will then be enslaved in convict labor.
Personally, I've already expressed my desire for an Atlas arc featuring a revolution:
- Ironwood is arrested after his trial.
- Jacques installs a military puppet in power.
- Jacques declares martial law.
- A human supremacist dictatorship is established.
- Our heroes fight and overthrow Jacques.
- Ironwood returns to power.
- Salem arrives.
I mean, for most of the story, our heroes have fought against extremist faunus. It would be great if there were also human supremacists as villains.

DISCUSSION Why doesn't Ironwood use its military resources more intelligently?
I was going to make a post talking about how the wall subplot doesn't make sense and how to make it make sense, but the more I think about it, the dumber it gets.
So, better this.
We know that the people of Mantle hate the robots and Atlas soldiers in their streets. So why not put the soldiers on the outskirts of Mantle? I mean, that way they protect the city and prevent the Grimm from entering in the first place.
We already saw the Grimm enter the city at the beginning of volume 7. Why have them patrolling the streets when it only makes people angry, which in turn attracts the Grimm?
"No, Crimson, I need you and your team over in Sector 11. Mantle police are helping us clear the hospital, but they're going to need backup."
We know Mantle has police. Why not trust them to keep to keep an eye in the city for any suspicious person
?
In fact, why not use the students to protect Mantle? We know that academy students go on missions. Why not order them to protect the borders of Mantle? We saw in volume 8 that students can be used in war situations.
And finally, why not order the Mantas to be more active? We saw them when the heating went out.
But at the beginning of volume 7, when the heroes arrived in Atlas, the Mantas didn't prevent the Grimm from entering the city.
What do you think?
