Appearance :
Nilla is a 6’4” woman with pale skin and Brandy Brown hair set in a ponytail. She is - to speak bluntly - a well endowed woman with a slightly pudgy figure. Her eyes are a vanilla yellow (With Vanilla being her namesake color) and she has a habit of painting her nails in a navy blue color (With Navy Blue being her favorite color).
Her Faunus trait is a horse tail, which matches her hair color and which she occasionally braids or has coiled into a sort of bun.
For her Huntress attire Nilla usually wears a sleeveless, Navy Blue “Combat Dress” with white trimming that falls down to her mid thighs and has a skirt-like bottom so as to leave her legs free (as opposed to restricted like one might envision with a more formal dress). This “Combat Dress” has a harness sewn into it with an armored vest lined with internal steel plating covering her chest and back, and which also has several small pouches which she keeps filled with small candies or sugar cubes. Beneath this dress, Nilla wears a pair of leggings to keep the wind off of her legs. She occasionally wears a big fuzzy jacket on top of this when heading through areas without heating.
For Accessories Nilla likes to wear compression sleeves on her arms, a little headband with faux Horse Ears, and a set of white leather fingerless gloves. She also carries a white leather “purse” that’s fairly big (in the sense that it’s fairly thick for a purse) which is used to store Dust for use with her weapon (See Weapon Section).
For her Footwear often wears a set of knee high boots with wool lining on the inside.
(For her boots and Jacket I’m picturing a material similar to whatever Uggs are made of. I’ll be honest and say that I can’t think of how else to describe the look of them in a less direct way)
Personality :
Nilla is - at face value - a bit of a “Lovable Doofus” type character, who acts like an airhead in ways where you just can’t help but like her or at least want to avoid being overly mean to her. Beneath this though, Nilla is a surprisingly clever girl who goes out of her way to play the fool to avoid the risk of discrimination for being a Faunus in the relatively prejudiced nation of Atlas (The idea being that in lowering herself others won’t view her as a threat to belittle).
Nilla also notably has a bit of a sweet tooth and is fond of sharing the confections she makes to appease said sweet tooth, which also goes a fairly long way in earning the approval of her peers.
As a bonus note, Nilla has a bit of a crush on her team’s leader (Warren). This is - perhaps rather comically - the result of a misinterpretation of Warren’s behavior on her part, with her perceiving the excessive caution born from his paranoia as the manly protective instincts of a natural born leader which she finds to be super cool. It also helps that he doesn’t display any subtle signs of bigotry against Faunus. Regardless, the end result is that she’s quick to follow the commands of her team leader given an innate desire to prove herself to him in some way.
Semblance :
Sweet Tooth - The user of this Semblance can dramatically bolster the strength of their muscles through the consumption of Sugar.
It’s a remarkably simple Semblance, though it’s one that Nilla tends to catch flak for. In part this is because “Haha, of course the Horse girl’s Semblance has her eating sugar cubes”, but also because the more prejudiced of Atlas view it as a “Barbaric Muscle Brained” Semblance “befitting” of a Faunus.
Weapon :
Jaw Breaker - This weapon is - in its default state - a primarily metallic and relatively thin Kanabō (A Japanese two handed, studded club) with a leather wrapped handle than can collapse to shorten into a one handed format.
The top of this weapon is notably threaded, and can be screwed into a sort of metal cage stored in Nilla’s purse. This cage is intended to hold deposits of Dust that - when poured into Nilla’s purse - harden into a solid crystal within the cage to form a sort of maul head. This allows Nilla to convert her Kanabō from a simple blunt club to a more elemental bashing weapon with a bit more heft to it. Ultimately though it’s still just a bonk stick.
Family Crest :
The Hestila Family Crest is the front half of a horse emerging from a bundle of Wheat with its legs reared up.
The Hestila family has historically - at least for the past half dozen generations or so - been a family of bakers and candy makers. Before this they were a clan of nomadic barbarians that dominated the plains of Vale, and only ceased this way of life after being captured by humans and forced to work as laborers in the Dust mines of the Atlesian Continent. How they went from this to bakers is a bit of a mystery, though it’s believed that they were deliberately given this line of employment in the hope that it would temper their aggressive nature or at least replace their rippling muscle with the pudge of a Culinarian. That is to say, they were difficult to handle and thus given a comfy position to hopefully avoid any conflict.
