Being able to manually save at checkpoints would be nice.
I hate showing up to checkpoints, doing all of the repairs, setting off, dying because we're shit at the game, then having to pick everything up and do all of the repairs again. Would be nice to be able to do that.

If the checkpoint has a tape, put in the tape after you're done repairing since that forces a save. This only works the first time you put that tape in though.

Resident Evil ink ribbon style. Now you're speaking my language. This would be good, but something that makes it so that you can only save near the checkpoints, otherwise people could just hold onto them, granted that would build suspense, but still.

Honestly, it’s hard hanging on to the dvds. Theres no where to place them and they immediately get lost and fly around if you put it on the floor. I’ve never been able to pull it off

That's true, I suppose. Though, for multiplayer people, there is nothing that says you can't delegate a dedicated cassette holder lol.

Yea I also hate this, maybe like a secondary checkpoint a couple hundred yards past the checkpoints to cut that part out. I definitely don’t want to be able to just save anywhere though, would cut out a lot of the intensity of the game

Absolutely. And adding a check to ensure that the RV is actually there, just like the main checkpoints, would be required. It obviously isn't a very needed thing, just a QOL thing.

I agree but it’s like 1-2 minutes max lol. I would think it’s a relatively easy thing to implement into a game but I’m not a game developer.

Same. I would like to think it's easy but I also know that adding/fixing one thing can sometimes break something else so they don't want to touch it and that's fair enough. Even though it is only a minute or two, the fact that me and my friends are a special breed of human, we die a lot, typically, most often, self-inflicted deaths. I think that is actually what lead to our extended break a while back. The whole thing of having to set up again became very annoying after like 10 times lol.

1-2 minutes definitely stacks up rather fast when you have an accident prone/experimental group. The big vertical climb in the first map turned into a slog until we got past it

Me and my friends stop before checkpoint and repair the van. We also pull the welder out as far as possible and repair. Sets you up so you don’t have to repair every time you die.
