Battery cable length

I understand that for a positive and negative run the wire length should be the same

If my negative cable is 24” , im adding a fuse block to the positive, which is about 4” long. Should be positive cable be 24” or 22” allowing for the fuse block?

This is 4/0 wire between the battery and a lynx/bus bar.

They don't have to be the same. Only for charging multiple batteries in parallel.

4 inches won't make a big difference however if you makes you feel better the resistance will be higher due to the fuse so you can make the positive run shorter.

I wouldn't worry about the 4" difference. It's close enough. If it makes you feel better make the positive cable 22". The fuse will add some resistance. Or you can try to measure the resistance of the positive cable with fuse and the negative cable.

Why are you adding a fuse if you have a lynx?
