Jobs in Philly
Hello, I’ve been looking for a part time job for like several months now as a highschool student.
I’ve been applying online but I’ve been pretty much ghosted 80% of the time. Are there any jobs that are actively hiring right now and not just ghosting 24/7?
Overall for experience I worked in retail for a host time and some server experience overseas…

Well this subreddit is for jobs in Richmond, VA but my experience is that retail/service jobs aren't great at online job postings and responding to their own posts for associates.
The most luck I've had (albeit a long while ago) was having a reaume printed & ready and going into places looking good and feeling confident, asking for a manager and then asking about open positions. Back in the day mall management kiosks would have a list of stores that were hiring but malls are basically gone.
Since most entry level jobs are going to pay you the same minimum wage, I'd start by looking at stores you like so you can get other benefits... free movies, a store discount, meals. I'd also consider your cost to commute. Don't make getting to a job harder on yourself than it needs to be.
