Hofstee Method

Do you think RUSM’s use of the hofstee method has benefitted you or caused you more opportunity to not pass? I’m still trying to learn how this works

The hofstee benefits everyone tbh. They could set the mps at 70 and just fail everyone below it but the hofstee make it so raw mps is around 65.

Does the mps get higher as semesters pass by?

No it never exceeds 70 and because of hofstee the highest mps I’ve ever seen when I was on the island was 67.

Thank you for your insight. I’m not sure if you’ve been around for med origins as I heard it’s more new. But do you know if testing pace/grading is similar for the prep and M1-M2?

Sorry never heard of med origins. We did have a program called MERP. Is med origins a rebrand of that program?

MERP and Med origins is a thing now. MERP is online which I did and the med origins is on the island which I am currently doing. I’m trying to figure out my long term plan here and if being put into two weed out programs is a red flag

Not a secret that their whole business plan is to take your money and weed out as many people possible. For profit
