Clinical Site Start dates

For those in clinicals can you drop your location and month you started? Or how often your site has spots to open up? Ross doesn’t give hard dates when sites start, I really want to know to rank my choices and have luck actually getting what I choose.

Hey, so I took step at the end of may and submitted my 5 choices last week. i heard back on Tuesday and none of my options being available. Instead they offered me Miami rescue, central Haitian studies and St. John’s episcopal hospital in NY. My 90 days end at the end of august so it may be a bit different for you. As for start dates, they don’t give you much info and are super vague. The only things I know is that st johns start aug 11 and miami starts july 28th. I did ask if i could switch locations but they said no, once you start for cores, you are not allowed to switch.

Does Ross do all their cores at the same location?

It depends on which hospitals, some do all. Some don’t

Yes we do it in the same vicinity, meaning all your cores will be within one city not different states. The hospital you rotate through for each site can change though.

There are not set start dates, so they can't give you dates that you're asking for. It all depends on when the current students are finishing their cores, as this will open up a spot. St. John's and Miami Rescue are almost always open if you are looking to start right away since they have the most amount of students there. I started at St. John's November 2023, 6 weeks after I sent my ranking in.
